SpaceX has placed the Starship upper stage, tail number Ship 41, on top of its Super Heavy booster. The full stack is being prepared for what the company plans as the vehicle's first orbital flight, Spaceflight Now reports.

Stacking the ship now comes before a likely propellant-loading demonstration. That rehearsal is expected in the days before the launch attempt and will let teams check the vehicle and ground systems before liftoff.

Starship Flight 14 is set for no earlier than 28 September. The date still depends on approval from the US Federal Aviation Administration.
